Hourly Rate: $175 – $200/hour (based on experience and certification) Schedule: 16 hours/month (4 hours per week, weekdays between 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, excluding holidays
About the Role Quality Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified Cardiologist to provide consultation services at Kingsboro Psychiatric Center. The Cardiologist will deliver specialized cardiovascular medicine services to adult inpatients, including diagnosis, evaluation, treatment planning, and consultation with facility prescribers. Responsibilities Provide cardiovascular consultation services to adult inpatients. Evaluate, diagnose, and recommend treatment for conditions involving the heart, lungs, and blood vessels. Interpret EKGs and other diagnostic studies. Conduct scheduled cardiology clinics (16 hours/month on-site). Communicate with Kingsboro PC prescribers and medical staff regarding patient care. Prepare clear and detailed consult reports consistent with CMS standards and Kingsboro PC format. Participate in facility-required consultant trainings. Comply with federal, state, and OMH regulations, including credentialing and privileging requirements. Maintain high standards of patient safety, ethics, and professionalism.
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Board Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in Cardiology or a subspecialty (e.g., Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology). Active New York State Medical License.
Prior experience in hospital/clinical settings preferred. English proficiency required; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Must successfully pass all background checks (SEL, SCR, criminal history, and credential verification). Education MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Completed Cardiology Fellowship.
